Sustainability Meeting and Green Team Activities with The Eden Hotel Collection
We were pleased to host a corporate meeting for the Sustainability Champions of the Eden Hotel Collection as they travelled from around the country to get together at our nature reserve just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. The meeting was planned to discuss green initiatives and CSR as they work towards their Green Tourism accreditation.
We recently began the refurbishment of our Picket Post building to offer an off-grid indoor meeting space to host such events and they had the honour of being the first group to test it out in this capacity. More refurbishment work will now continue, and the space will be available to book soon.
After the meeting, the team joined us in the garden to test out some of our green team event activities designed for corporates that want to give back and team build. See our ESG and CSR team events here.
They firstly created eco plant pots to sow veg seeds that will be grown in our polytunnel and in beds at the Kitchen Garden at Stratford-upon-Avon hospital. This is part of a project our Green Therapy group are participating in to grow vegetables to donate to the hospital café.
Secondly, they constructed living wall planters and planted them up ready to be added to our growing living walls that we have installed at our NHS hospital gardens across Warwickshire.
Finally, the group created mini alpine beds to accompany our alpine garden planters which will be showcased at our nature reserve, as well as at Bishopton Community Centre.
